Join one or more of the Public Engagement Hubs at The University of Southampton. The Health & Wellbeing Hub and the Nature & Biodiversity Hub both send out emails which include local community events.

Support local businesses such as October Books, which hosts a lot of interesting events. Shop Local Southampton runs regular listings.
Why not try visiting a Touch Network event, for some real life stories about resilience in our local communities.
And if art and culture are your thing, the CHAOS network brings together creative and arts organisations and individuals in Southampton. Sadly, Southampton’s Art in Health Forum (which we previously helped coordinate) is no longer running.
Or speak to your neighbours or pop into your local community venue and ask what is going on in your part of Southampton.
